Lab Computing Technician

Locations: Cambridge, MA Framingham, MA Waltham, MA This role will require full-time on-site presence at a client site in the greater Boston area This role is not eligible for relocation assistance Zifo is looking for a Lab support technician to join our Lab Computing team. This position will work closely with the Lab computing team and clients to troubleshoot issues with hardware and software in the pharmaceutical laboratory setting. Responsibilities Support the end-user desktop including, but not limited to, troubleshooting issues, implementing approved software, and removing older software versions Setting-up, maintenance and administration of end user computer devices and related computing environments including systems software, applications software, hardware, and configurations Some troubleshooting of lab instruments/lab computer systems interfaces. Assist in data storage solutions Duties will include troubleshooting and repair of OS's, MS Office Suite products including Outlook email and calendar issues, a variety of 3rd party software applications, hardware issues, laptop parts replacement, imaging, data wiping, asset control, and detailed ticket documentation Required Skills Excellent attention to detail, customer service skills, multi-tasking skills, ticket management/documentation skills, written and verbal communication skills are required Ability to quickly learn new or unfamiliar technology and products using documentation and internet resources Strong written and verbal communication skills Provide positive customer experiences when working with users Can manage multiple projects / tickets simultaneously Quicky diagnose issues and work to resolve Adapt to an ever-changing environment Qualifications Associate Degree or technical institute degree or equivalent experience required Prior experience in IT Deskside/Desktop break/fix support or similar role Excellent Windows 7/10 and Microsoft Office Suite (including O365) trouble shooting skills, as well as hardware trouble shooting skills Experience in using a ticket system experience is a plus A successful Zifo-ite is: Independent, Self-Motivated & Results driven Willing & able to quickly acquire new Technical Skills & Business Principles A critical thinker who possesses logical reasoning Curious and always looking for creative solutions to complex problems We offer a competitive compensation package including accrued vacation, medical, dental, vision, 401k with company matching, life insurance, and flexible spending accounts.
