Executive Director – MBK Senior Living Job Summary The Executive Director is a visionary leader who champions a culture of compassion, respect, and resident‑centered care while driving operational excellence and financial stability. The role oversees profit and loss, directs daily community functions, ensures regulatory compliance, and fosters a high‑performing team that delivers innovative programming and outstanding resident experiences. Compensation Salary $140,000 – $150,000 per year, plus annual bonus and sign‑on bonus. Full‑time benefits include a comprehensive medical, dental, vision, and 401(k) matching up to 4%. Responsibilities Develop and execute strategic plans to achieve occupancy, resident satisfaction, financial performance, and a safe, supportive environment. Implement rapid solutions to operational challenges, ensuring continuity of quality care and staff performance. Oversee day‑to‑day community operations, including planning, organizing, and controlling processes while maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and company policies. Drive operational excellence by enforcing MBK policies, procedures, and standards, and champion initiatives that promote accountability and consistency. Serve as a central support hub for all departments, providing strategic guidance and hands‑on assistance for integrated operations across care, dining, activities, and maintenance. Proactively identify and address urgent issues, mobilizing cross‑functional teams to mitigate risks and prevent negative impacts on residents and the community. Consult with department directors to develop and implement departmental policies, fostering collaboration and shared accountability. Lead strategic initiatives and spearhead significant changes to operational protocols, resident programming, and staff development. Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) and operational data to identify opportunities, make data‑driven decisions, and delegate corrective actions to enhance care standards and resident satisfaction. Ensure residents’ physical, mental, and emotional needs are met and that their level of care aligns with licensure requirements. Facilitate resident engagement through access to programs, activities, and events, and coordinate transportation when needed. Regularly engage with residents and families to gather feedback, address concerns, and gauge satisfaction. Collaborate with the Director of Sales to develop and execute a strategic sales plan, marketing the property to maintain occupancy and build a high‑demand waitlist. Manage all aspects of community finances, including budgeting, expenditure approval, and accurate financial record maintenance. Maintain knowledge of industry trends, best practices, and legislative changes that affect community operations. Ensure a safe and secure environment by overseeing property maintenance, risk management procedures, OSHA compliance, and workers’ compensation protocols. Provide cross‑training and delegation to ensure operational continuity and professional development during absences or transitions. Represent the community with professionalism in interactions with families, community representatives, and government agencies. Promote teamwork and open communication through mentoring, coaching, and recognition programs aligned with MBK core values. Perform additional duties or special projects as assigned by supervisory staff. Qualifications Education Requirements: Required state or federal administrator licenses or certifications, completion of required training, examinations, and continuing education hours (CEUs). Minimum education units or degree as mandated by community size and state regulations. Experience Requirements: Minimum years of management experience in a healthcare field providing residential care to the elderly, varying by community size and state requirements. Competencies & Certifications: Minimum age 21 years. Completed all background clearances and health screenings, including a negative tuberculosis test where required. Valid state‑issued driver’s license and reliable transportation. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and standard office equipment. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, with the ability to explain complex ideas to diverse audiences. Demonstrated sound judgment, conflict resolution, and crisis management with prioritization of safety and well‑being. Ability to anticipate risks, develop contingency plans, and maintain confidentiality. Professionalism in dealing with personnel, residents, families, and guests. Physical Demands & Work Environment: Flexible schedule with availability for evenings, weekends, and short notice as required. Mobility to walk, bend, kneel, squat, pull, reach overhead, and perform repetitive motion. Ability to sit at a computer for extended periods and move throughout the community. Lift up to 50 pounds and push up to 250 pounds as necessary. Assist in resident transfers and manage sensitive situations involving grief or death.
