Payroll Manager

Payroll Manager Our client located in Nashville, TN seeks a direct hire Payroll Manager to join their growing team. Responsibilities Own end-to-end U.S. and Canada payroll processing in partnership with ADP, serving as the primary escalation point and ensuring accurate, timely delivery. Ensure multi-state and cross-border payroll compliance, tax administration, internal controls, and payroll accounting in collaboration with HR, Finance, and Accounting. Manage payroll systems, integrations, vendors, audits, and cash funding while supporting month-end close and reporting. Serve as 401(k) Plan Administrator, overseeing contributions, compliance, audits, and vendor coordination. Requirements Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Accounting, Finance, HR, or a related field is required . 7+ years of progressive payroll experience, including end-to-end payroll ownership and partnership with outsourced providers (ADP preferred). Strong knowledge of multi-state payroll, payroll tax compliance, audits, internal controls, and payroll accounting. Proven ability to partner cross-functionally and manage complex deadlines with high attention to detail. Ability to commute to sister office 50 miles north of Nashville as needed. Preferred Experience with Canada or international payroll, 401(k) administration, and SOX-compliant environments. CPP certification and familiarity with ADP platforms and payroll system integrations. Compensation & Benefits Pay: $80k - $110k salary with competitive benefits.
