Dental Assistant (EFDA) - KSA Spanish

Overview Integrated Clinical Services (ICS) of the Health Department provides quality dental services to underserved populations in Multnomah County. The Dental Assistant (EFDA) – KSA – Spanish assists dentists and hygienists in daily dental care and requires fluency in Spanish and English. Responsibilities Clinical Functions and Provider Support: Provide 4‑handed dentistry, mix materials, place rubber dams, take impressions, anticipate provider needs, conduct dental assisting and expanded functions (sealants, polishing, matrix retainers, temporary restorations). Resources Management / Infection Control: Sanitize operatories, ensure supplies, report repair needs, follow PPE guidelines, monitor inventory. Customer Service: Interact respectfully with patients, manage wait times, notify about schedule changes, perform phone follow‑ups, serve as liaison between staff and providers. Qualifications High school completion or equivalent. Valid expanded‑function dental assistant certificate with radiologic proficiency issued by the Oregon State Board of Dental Examiners. Board‑accredited dental assistant program graduate. BLS CPR certification or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire. Fluency in Spanish and English (written and spoken). At least one year of responsible dental‑assistant experience is preferred. Comfortable with fast‑paced clinical environment and teamwork.
