IAM Business Analyst

Razor is seeking an experienced IAM Business Analyst to support software development, requirements analysis, and production support for a federal program. This role will collaborate with project managers, development teams, product owners, and stakeholders to analyze, document, and validate functional and technical requirements for new and existing software applications.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Agile software development, requirements documentation, stakeholder coordination, and production issue analysis, with familiarity in Identity and Access Management (IAM) systems and processes.

Location & Work Arrangement

Preferred Location: National Capital Region (Washington, D.C., Maryland, and Virginia).

Candidates outside the Client must be willing to relocate if required.

Clearance Requirements

Must be able to successfully complete a federal background investigation.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with project teams, developers, product owners, and stakeholders to gather, analyze, document, and validate business and technical requirements.
• Develop and maintain detailed user stories, acceptance criteria, use cases, and system requirements.
• Translate business needs into clear, actionable requirements for software development teams.
• Analyze existing systems, business processes, workflows, and technical capabilities to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Support production environments by investigating system issues, conducting research, and coordinating issue resolution.
• Serve as a liaison between project managers, development teams, and clients to clarify requirements, confirm system behavior, and coordinate support requests.
• Facilitate stakeholder discussions, requirements meetings, and cross-functional team collaboration.
• Support Agile ceremonies and coordinate with Scrum teams to address impediments and ensure timely delivery.
• Prepare meeting notes, weekly status reports, presentations, and project documentation.
• Develop and maintain user guides, release notes, end-user communications, and training materials.
• Manage competing priorities, track assigned tasks through resolution, and escalate issues when necessary.

Required Qualifications

• Experience as a Business Analyst supporting software development projects.
• Demonstrated experience developing user stories, acceptance criteria, use cases, and system requirements.
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies, including Scrum, Kanban, and Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe).
• Ability to gather and analyze business and technical requirements and translate them into development tasks.
• Experience analyzing system behavior, troubleshooting technical issues, and supporting production environments.
• Ability to evaluate existing workflows, system capabilities, and business processes to identify gaps and opportunities for improvement.
• Experience collaborating with developers, project managers, product owners, clients, and cross-functional teams.
• Ability to manage competing priorities, maintain ownership of tasks, and provide timely solutions.
• Strong written and verbal communication, documentation, facilitation, and presentation skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Visio, and SharePoint.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Identity and Access Management (IAM) systems, applications, or business processes.
• Experience using Jira and Confluence for requirements documentation, issue tracking, and team collaboration.
• Working knowledge of SQL and experience executing database queries to support technical analysis.
• Experience documenting business workflows, identifying system gaps, and supporting process improvements.
• Experience collaborating with stakeholders and product owners to define future-state system requirements.
• Experience preparing release notes, user documentation, end-user communications, and training materials.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to learn new systems and processes quickly.
