Underwriting Director

The Production Underwriting Director is responsible for managing a team of Production Underwriters, leading risk selection and distribution strategy, and ensuring the team’s book of business achieves profitable growth. Responsibilities Lead risk selection and distribution management to enable Production Underwriters to own results of their book of business. Set goals and objectives for underwriters to balance distribution and risk selection, driving profitable growth. Manage a book of business, maintaining and building relationships with assigned agents and brokers. Generate submissions and engage in activities to close accounts. Compensate production underwriting managers on the profitable growth of their book of business. Qualifications Experience in underwriting leadership or as a senior underwriter. Strong people‑leader skills with the ability to develop strategy and execute over‑authority decisions. Growth mindset, critical thinking, accountability, and interest in servant leadership.
