Senior Accountant

OverviewThe Corporate Senior Accountant is responsible for maintaining accurate balance sheet and income statement schedule. The Senior Accountant will manage reconciliations to support the general ledger. This position also maintains accurate Standard Operating Procedures for the company’s internal control needs. The Senior Accountant works closely with the Controller, Accounts Payable. This position works under the Finance Department to achieve the Company’s short- and long-range business goals, revenue, and profitability objectives.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesDuties include, but are not limited to, the following:Maintain accurate balance sheet and income statement schedules and reconciliations to support the GL balance.Maintain SOPs on support spreadsheets and other documentation for internal control needs.Manage assigned monthly close accounting tasks.Assist in variance analysis and managerial reporting as needed.Assist with financial and tax audits or other compliance needs.Review and prepare entries for sales taxPerform other accounting functions as required.All other duties and responsibilities assigned.To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Working knowledge of other MS Word and Powerpoint.Familiarity with accounting software and programs. NetSuite is helpfulFamiliarity with AI tools such as CoPilot and Claude is helpful.Qualifications (Experience, Education, Licensure, Certification)Three to four years of general accounting experience preferred.Bachelors degree in accounting or finance required.DSO or HSO experience is helpful. #J-18808-Ljbffr
