Insurance Sales Representative (South Plainfield, NJ)

POSITION OVERVIEW

I am looking for enthusiastic candidates for an insurance sales producer position. This position is located at Daniel Barros State Farm Agency in South Plainfield, NJ. The right candidate will build and develop customer relationships within the community to promote insurance products including auto, home, and life insurance products. We work with many Spanish speaking clients, so being fluent in Spanish is important. Sales and systems training is provided.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop leads (some of which are provided by the agency), identify customer needs, and market appropriate products and services
• Establish customer relationships and follow up with customers as needed
• Use a customer-focused, needs-based review process to educate customers about insurance options.
• Provide prompt, accurate, and friendly customer service. Service can include responding to inquiries regarding insurance availability, eligibility, coverage, policy changes, transfers, claim submissions, and billing clarification.
• Other duties as assigned

DESIRED SKILLSET

• Interest in marketing products and services based on customer needs
• Excellent communication skills - written, verbal, and listening
• Ability to assess customer needs and conduct effective interviews
• Previous experience in a sales role is preferred but not required
• NJ Property, Casualty, Life Producer licenses required. Can be obtained after hire date. (Cost of licensing and continued education is reimbursable)
• Self-motivated and able to work in a team environment
• Fluent in Spanish

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

• Base Salary: (This can vary based on experience)
• Uncapped Commissions: Based on your new production monthly. You control how much you can earn
• Bonuses: Based on performance achievements throughout the year

GROWTH POTENTIAL

Within Agency: Annual reviews and raises, as well as positional promotions (Ex: Insurance Account Rep, Senior Insurance Account Rep, Sales Manager, etc.)

Agent Aspirant: If you have what it takes, you can also become a State Farm agent and run your own agency. This position will provide valuable insight about the insurance industry, and as an authorized State Farm agent team member, you can enter the Agent Aspirant program. This program is designed by State Farm to locate motivated individuals with an entrepreneurial mindset. The agent (Daniel Barros) will train the candidate on how to run an agency.

HOURS

Monday through Friday - 9:00am - 5:00pm

EMPLOYMENT TYPE: Full-Time

SALARY

$60,000.00 to $85,000.00 /year
