Financial Controller
Required Skills & Experience:
Minimum of 8 years of progressive accounting and financial management experience in a service-based retail industry
5+ years of experience as a Controller, Assistant Controller, Accounting Manager, or similar leadership role
Experience overseeing multi-state tax compliance, filings, audits, and external tax advisors
Experience with financial reporting, and month-end close processes
Demonstrated experience leading and mentoring accounting teams while partnering with executive leadership
CPA designation required
Nice to Have Skills & Experience:
Multi-unit accounting or franchise business experience
ERP experience (Acumatica, NetSuite, Oracle, etc.)
Experience with Power BI, Concur, and Zenoti
Corporate banking platform experience
Job Description:
Insight Global is seeking a qualified Financial Controller to join a leading multi-unit retail and franchise organization. This individual will serve as a key member of the finance leadership team, partnering closely with the VP Finance to oversee accounting operations, financial reporting, budgeting, compliance, audits, and strategic financial planning across multiple corporate entities.
The ideal candidate brings strong controller-level experience within a service-based, multi-entity environment and can confidently lead a team through month-end close, tax matters, audits, and financial reporting while providing meaningful business insights to leadership. This role requires a hands-on leader who can balance day-to-day accounting oversight with long-term financial strategy, act as a trusted advisor to executives, and drive process improvements that support the company's continued growth and operational excellence.
