Rehabilitation Technician - Elmhurst

Rehabilitation Technician – Elmhurst – Physical/Occupational Therapy Full‑time, 40 hours per week. Monday–Friday; must work two evenings until 7:00 p.m. Location: Elmhurst. Responsibilities Under the direct supervision of the Clinic Director, provide patient care, support, and guidance. Execute plans of care under the guidance of PT/OT providers. Properly set up and adjust exercise equipment. Assist with the setup and delivery of modalities such as electrical stimulation, ultrasound, hot/cold packs, etc. Utilize appropriate educational techniques, including demonstration and cueing, to ensure patient understanding of exercises. Monitor patient safety and response to exercise intensity. Discuss patient performance with PT/OT providers. Clinic flow Monitor patient arrivals to the department. Start patients on time for scheduled appointments and keep them apprised of any clinician delays. Maintain cleanliness of the clinic, including waiting areas, exam rooms, and all equipment. Order all supplies to keep the clinic stocked, under direction from Manager. Front‑end tasks Perform necessary front‑end tasks including check‑in, co‑pay/financial responsibility collection, answering phones, and scheduling future appointments. Communicate via chat with PT/OT and Chiropractic referral teams regarding patient insurance benefits. Schedule management for clinicians (i.e., patient confirmation calls, rescheduling patients as needed). Qualifications CPR certification required (certification offered through Duly Health and Care). High School Diploma. Knowledge of common medical terminology and abbreviations. Understanding of principles, as well as contraindications/precautions, in the use of therapy modalities. Ability to identify proper patient set‑up on each piece of equipment and adjust as needed. Identify planes of movement and demonstrate proper exercise positioning. Team‑oriented. Attention to detail and follow‑through. Problem solving, lateral thinking, and reasoning skills. Communication skills. The compensation for this role includes a base pay range of $15.10–18.00 with the actual pay determined by factors such as skills, experience, education, certifications, geographic location, and internal equity.
