About This Role The Manager of Patient Care is responsible for overseeing nursing practice, patient care delivery, and regulatory compliance within a patient care unit. This role is ideal for experienced nursing leaders who are committed to high-quality, patient-centered care. Highlights Location: Glen Cove, NY Schedule: Full-Time, Day shift What You'll Do Manage 24/7 operations and patient care activities of a patient care unit. Assist nursing leadership in setting strategic direction for key programs. Communicate and build consensus to achieve department objectives. Promote high-quality patient and family-centered care. Create a professional work environment that fosters respect and accountability. Promote evidence-based, ethical, and compassionate practice. Acquire and manage staffing for the patient care unit. Provide direction and guidance to team members and supervisors. Facilitate performance reviews, promotions, and corrective actions. Educate teams on new and existing department procedures and systems. Requirements Education Bachelor's of Science Degree in Nursing required, Master's preferred. Experience 6-8 years of nursing experience required. 2-5 years of leadership/management experience required.
