Branch Banking Assistant Leader

Position Title Branch Banking Assistant Leader Location New Hyde Park, NY 11040 Job Summary The Branch Banking Assistant Leader drives branch revenue growth, operational integrity, and client experience excellence, focusing on reputational success within the community. Job Responsibilities Business Performance: Drive market growth of primary client relationships and meet financial targets (deposits, loans, and non‑interest income). Actively introduce clients to appropriate team members to achieve growth objectives and execute sales initiatives. Sales Leadership & Coaching: Coach, develop, and mentor team members; support partner‑produced sales and marketing initiatives; reinforce training to engage communities and customers. Talent Management: Assist the Branch Banking Leader with employment, performance evaluations, staff development/training, disciplinary actions, succession planning, and regulatory compliance. Client Experience: Deliver client engagement and education using available tools and systems; maintain a culture centered on exceptional client experience. Risk Management: Identify and mitigate reputational, regulatory, employee, and client risks; ensure adherence to all applicable bank policies and meet operational excellence standards. Additional Accountabilities: Perform special projects and other duties as required; consistently adhere to regulatory and compliance policies, complete required compliance training, and maintain compliance with all laws and regulations. Job Requirements Education Level (Required): High School / High School Equivalency (GED, HiSET, TASC) / Foreign Equivalent Experience (Required): 2+ years of branch sales experience; experience with banking products, risk management, and possibly NMLS registration per S.A.F.E. Act of 2008 and Regulation. Preferred Education: Undergraduate Degree (4 years) or equivalent experience. Preferred Experience: 4+ years of branch banking/financial institution sales and a leadership role. Job Competencies Creating diverse and cohesive teams; coaching and teaching.
