Job Details Location: Boston, MA 02110 Position Type: Full Time Salary Range: $22.80 - $25.85 per hour Job Shift: 1st Shift Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:45 a.m. to 5:15 p.m. Position Overview As Member Service Counselor – Registry, you will provide sales and service to members in the areas of membership, reservations, and other branch products and services both in-person and over the phone. In select states, you will provide registry services and ensure compliance with state regulations. The Member Service Counselor will achieve assigned standards for sales and referrals, recommend club products and services, and embody club mission and value statements with all interactions. Responsibilities Member Service Develop comprehensive knowledge of products and services offered by AAA Northeast. Use this knowledge to promote the sales of memberships, including upgrades, auto‑renewal, and digital membership. Use technology and product knowledge to promote AAA credit card program, business line referrals and other club initiatives. Make changes on existing memberships and assist members with any issues that may arise. Deliver accurate and timely information to members regarding club products/services. Maintain department standards by servicing members in‑person and over‑the‑phone and supporting club partnerships such as Registry Services, TSA, etc. In select locations, provide registry services and/or TSA services, including handling/processing confidential documents and information, inputting information into databases and systems, and reviewing applications and forms for completeness in compliance with laws, rules, regulations, and standards. Services include license/ID renewals, registration renewals. Provide assistance to members for accommodations and points of interest, including mapping, routing, and possible hotel and car reservations. Promote and assist members with International/InterAmerican driving permits; passport photos; foreign currency, theme park tickets, entertainment tickets and all other club products. Sales Consistently meet and/or exceed minimum member satisfaction scores and other related position goals. Develop comprehensive knowledge of products and services offered by AAA Northeast. Through the five‑diamond process, cross‑selling techniques, and club and department training, educate members of all benefits and KPIs while maintaining a positive member experience. Keep up‑to‑date on all promotions and initiatives in the branch, recognizing opportunities to improve overall branch performance. Daily Operations Act as a liaison with other departments, including but not limited to Travel, Insurance, Membership, Finance, IT, Member Relations, to coordinate and gather appropriate information for the member or department issues. Perform job duties according to department policies, procedures, and practices within scope of authority, including adhering to all club/department safety protocols. Qualifications Education High School Diploma or GED (Required) Experience Customer Service with a focus in Sales (Required) Licenses and Certifications Must satisfactorily pass state specific and federal background check during pre and post hiring in accordance with state and federal requirements (Required). Must meet individual state requirements to perform registry & TSA services, including clearing federal/state specific background checks/processes (Required).
