Grow with us, H2O+U.Your OpportunityAs Regional Sector Lead – Conveyance, you will partner with our North American sector leadership, project delivery specialists, and business developers to expand and grow Stantec’s capacity to win and deliver conveyance work across the US North region. The Conveyance sector constitutes Collection Systems with Trunk Drains and Sewer Interceptors, Water Distribution with Transmission Mains, Culverts Intakes and Outfalls, Pipeline Condition Assessment, Trenchless Installation and Rehabilitation, Utility Engineering, and Pump Stations with Force Mains.Working closely with the Regional Growth Leader and Business Center Practice Leaders, you will play a pivotal role in translating our broader North American strategy into actionable initiatives for the US North geography. You will align resources, technical capabilities, and business growth objectives to drive growth in the region.Key responsibilities include:Business development: Identifying, strategizing, positioning, and supporting pursuits in collaboration with local Business Center Practice Leaders, Account Managers, and business developers. Identifying and developing growth opportunities with existing and new clients, establishing and strengthening client relationships, participating in developing business strategies and plans.Connecting expertise: Acting as a Liaison between local / regional teams and North American Sector Leadership to align local delivery with broader technical capabilities,Strengthening market position: Reinforcing Stantec’s brand and market position as a leader within the conveyance sector through active participation in industry organizations and partnerships, thought leadership, and effective communication with strategic clients, andLeadership: Providing leadership and mentorship to our conveyance/civil professionals in the region, as well as in local officeThis is a seller-doer position where you can expect to spend about a third of your time on this role and balance on project work.You will be based out of any of our offices in Virginia, Washington DC, and Maryland. While we offer a hybrid working environment, in this leadership role you should expect to be in the office or with clients a minimum of two days per week, and able to travel as needed to support clients and project teams across the US North region and beyond.Your ResponsibilitiesMaintain active engagement with clients and strategic partners.Lead Stantec’s participation in regional and national industry groups to advance the Stantec brand and maximize exposure of Stantec’s subject matter experts through activities such as:Technical Papers and PresentationsArticles for association conference periodicalsPeer-reviewed publicationsBlogs for associationsCommittee participation where available and appropriateLeverage your understanding of the industry drivers, market trends, legislative requirements in the US North to support and grow our conveyance portfolio.Identify how technology changes affect our clients and our business.Actively participate in pursuit decisions including Go/No-Go processes, and in proposal and pricing development. Coordinate with Stantec’s marketing team, national sector leadership, and local technical staff to develop winning proposals.Contribute with our North America Conveyance Team to implement our strategy across the continent and bring services and specialists from the broader Stantec organization to our clients.Help recruit, retain, and inspire a team of conveyance professionals, at multiple levels, with exceptional technical skills.Engage in delivery of conveyance projects, leveraging your expertise, industry best practices, and new or innovative technologies.Work closely with sector leaders, practice leaders, regional growth teams, project developers, and the Office of Research, Innovation, and Technology to leverage internal resources and match them up with projects and pursuits where they can bring value.Consistently demonstrate a commitment to the Health and Safety culture within Stantec.Make sound decisions for Stantec’s staff, business interests, and clients, consistent with our core values: we put people first, we do what is right, we are better together, and we are driven to achieve. Your Capabilities and CredentialsProven project management and technical skills applicable to delivering water conveyance projectsBusiness development and client service management experience in growing services with existing clients, developing new clients, and leading pursuits.The ability to organize and prioritize work to meet multiple deadlinesProficiency in verbal and written communications; an ability to effectively work with and lead teams.Education and ExperienceBachelor's degree or equivalent in Civil or Environmental Engineering from an accredited institution. Master’s degree is preferred.Licensed Professional Engineer or ability to obtain within 12 monthsAt least 20 years of directly relevant professional experience in public and municipal sectors associated with the planning, design, and construction of water infrastructure projectsAt least 10 years of experience with direct client service management and/or business development.Typical office environment includes working with computers and sitting at a desk. At Stantec, we live our corporate values every day.Pay Range:• Locations in WA, DC & Various CA, MA, VA Areas-$178,400.00 - $276,600.00 AnnuallyPay Transparency: In compliance with pay transparency laws, pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible.
