Special Education Teacher – Multiple Openings
Schedule: Full-Time (Monday–Friday)
School Year: August 26, 2026 – June 16, 2027
ProCare Therapy is seeking dedicated Special Education Teachers to support a school district during the 2026–2027 school year . The district currently has multiple full-time openings across elementary, middle, and high school campuses, as well as a long-term substitute opportunity.
Position Overview
The Special Education Teacher will provide specialized instruction and support to students receiving special education services while collaborating with teachers, administrators, and related service providers to promote student success. Placements are available at multiple grade levels, allowing candidates to work in the setting that best matches their experience and interests.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialized instruction and academic support for students receiving special education services
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Monitor and document student progress toward IEP goals
- Adapt curriculum and instructional strategies to meet diverse learning needs
- Collaborate with general education teachers, administrators, and related service providers
- Participate in IEP meetings and maintain compliance with state and district requirements
- Foster a positive, inclusive learning environment for all students
Position Details
- Schedule: Full-Time, Monday–Friday
- School Year: August 26, 2026 – June 16, 2027
- Contract: 178 work days plus 6 additional work days
- Current Openings:
- Elementary Special Education Teacher – Belmont Elementary (Grades K–4)
- Middle School Special Education Teacher (Grades 5–8)
- High School Life Skills Special Education Teacher (Grades 9–12)
- Long-Term Substitute Special Education Teacher (September–November)
- Hours by Campus:
- Belmont Elementary: 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM
- Middle School: 7:15 AM – 2:45 PM
- High School: 7:00 AM – 2:30 PM
- Caseload: To be determined
- Primary Responsibilities: To be determined by the district
Requirements
- Active state Special Education Teaching License (or eligibility to obtain)
- Additional certification requirements to be determined by the district
- Previous school-based experience preferred
- Strong communication, collaboration, and classroom management skills
