Mobile Service Technician

Quirk Commercial Truck Center, located in the Fore River Shipyards, is hiring a mobile mechanic. We will provide a completely up-fitted service van stocked with tools. Our ideal applicant will have heavy-duty truck repair experience, a clean driving record, and dealership experience. We will cover the cost of a DOT medical card. Our mobile mechanic will be responsible for on-site warranty repairs, maintenance, and performing recalls on Ford, Stellantis, and GM products.

Key Required Proficiencies:

• Using Diagnostic Equipment and Special Service tools to test vehicle components
• Test driving heavy-duty vehicles for diagnosis and repair verification
• Diagnosing heavy-duty vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, suspension, brakes, steering, electrical, air conditioning, etc
• Providing the Service Advisor with an estimate of any additional repairs needed

Preferred Skills:

• Minimum 1 year experience working on vehicles
• Establish and maintain relationships with customers
• Assess individual client needs and think of innovative ways to get results
• Experience in managing and organizing work time and work-related activities
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• A positive attitude
• Strong willingness to learn
