Material Handler – Warehouse Distribution

Location: Arlington, TX
Job Type: Full-Time / Temp-to-Hire
Available Shifts:
1st Shift: 4:00 AM – Finish (1:30pm-3:30pm)
2nd Shift: 4:00 PM – Finish (10:00pm-1:00am)

End times vary based on daily workload. Employees must be available to work until all assigned work is completed.

Job Summary

Level Up Sourcing LLC is hiring dependable, hardworking Material Handlers for a fast-paced warehouse operation in Arlington, Texas.

This is a physically demanding position in a very hot warehouse environment . Employees work together as a team to unload, scan, sort, and stack merchandise for individual store locations. The operation moves quickly, and every position plays an important role in keeping the conveyor lines moving safely and efficiently.

Employees may be assigned to one or more of the following positions based on operational needs:

Unloader

Unload trucks by hand and place boxes onto the conveyor system.

• Continuously lift and handle boxes, including heavy boxes
• Unload trailers safely and efficiently
• Keep merchandise moving onto the conveyor
• Identify damaged or opened boxes and securely tape them before they continue through the process
• Maintain a steady pace throughout the shift

Scanner

Receive boxes coming from the unloading area and accurately scan merchandise into the system.

• Scan each box correctly and efficiently
• Maintain a fast, consistent pace to prevent backups
• Watch for damaged or opened boxes and tape them securely
• Communicate with other team members when problems occur

Sorter

Sort scanned boxes onto the correct conveyor lines.

• Quickly identify where merchandise needs to be routed
• Place boxes onto the appropriate lines
• Maintain accuracy while working at a fast pace
• Help prevent congestion and backups on the conveyor system
• Tape any opened or damaged boxes before allowing them to continue down the line

Material Handler / Stacker

Material Handlers are assigned specific store numbers and are responsible for receiving and stacking merchandise in the correct designated store areas.

• Identify assigned store numbers and place merchandise in the correct location
• Work quickly to remove boxes from the conveyor and prevent the line from backing up
• Stack boxes safely, neatly, and securely
• ALL BOXES MUST BE STACKED WITH ARROWS FACING UP
• Inspect boxes while handling them
• Any box that is opened, torn, damaged, or coming apart must be securely taped before it is stacked
• There should be NO OPEN OR DAMAGED BOXES LEFT UNTAPED
• Maintain an organized work area and assist other team members when needed

Teamwork Expectations

This operation depends heavily on teamwork . Unloaders, Scanners, Sorters, and Material Handlers must work together to keep merchandise moving throughout the warehouse.

Employees are expected to help one another when an area becomes backed up or assistance is needed. The goal is not simply to complete your individual assignment—it is to work together to complete the entire operation safely, accurately, and efficiently.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

Candidates must be prepared for:

• A very hot warehouse environment
• Fast-paced, repetitive physical work
• Standing and walking for the majority of the shift
• Frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, bending, and reaching
• Handling boxes of various sizes and weights, including heavy boxes
• Working around conveyor belts and moving merchandise
• Working until the daily workload is completed

Attendance & Reliability

Excellent attendance is required for this position.

Employees must:

• Report to every scheduled shift
• Arrive on time and ready to work
• Be prepared to work until the shift’s workload is completed
• Follow all attendance and call-in procedures
• Maintain dependable and consistent attendance

Because each position directly affects the next stage of the operation, late arrivals and absences can impact the entire team and cause production delays.
