Minority Business Enterprise Officer II

The Department of Social and Economic Mobility (DoSEM) is hiring 17 contractual MBE Officer II positions to conduct comprehensive eligibility reviews and investigations of Minority Business Enterprise, Disadvantaged Business Enterprise, and Small Business Enterprise certification applications. The role involves reviewing documentation, conducting interviews and on-site visits, evaluating business ownership and financial eligibility, and preparing investigative reports in accordance with federal and state laws. The position receives general supervision from the Small Business Competitiveness administrator and is located in Crownsville, MD. Key qualifications: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university One year of experience investigating regulated activities for compliance or overseeing program and business development activities Experience reviewing and analyzing business certification applications for MBEs, DBEs, ACDBEs, or SBEs (preferred) Ability to review confidential financial information and legal documents Valid Maryland motor vehicle operator's license (may be required) #J-18808-Ljbffr DGS Office of External Affairs
