Position Overview

The Ohio State University College of Medicine and the Wexner Medical Center seek exceptional board‑certified or eligible anesthesiologists to join their Department of Anesthesiology. Candidates may be appointed at the rank of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor. Primary duties will encompass perioperative care at the University Hospital, The James Comprehensive Cancer Hospital, and the expanding outpatient surgical centers. Leadership opportunities are available for qualified candidates. Department Overview

The Department of Anesthesiology is composed of 128 physicians, 103 CRNA/CAA’s, 10 clinician scientists, 80 residents, 9 fellows, anesthesia technicians, and 13 administrative staff. It offers six academic divisions—Critical Care, Pain, Cardiothoracic, OB, Ambulatory, and General Anesthesia—and provides comprehensive anesthesia services throughout the health system. The department offers ACGME‑accredited fellowships in cardiothoracic anesthesiology, critical care anesthesiology, obstetric anesthesiology, pain medicine, regional anesthesiology, neuroanesthesiology, and executive leadership and business in anesthesiology.

Requirements

• MD or DO
• Successful completion of an accredited Anesthesiology Residency Program
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Anesthesiology
• Eligible for an Ohio Medical License
