The Position Our bank client is seeking to fill a teller role in the Lombard, IL market. The selected candidate will be responsible for accurately and efficiently processing and recording routine transactions for bank customers including cashing checks, accepting deposits and withdrawals, processing loan payments and money transfers. In addition, the Teller promotes and advises customers on the bank’s products and services. The opportunity has a generous salary of up to $45K. and has an outstanding benefits package. Bank Teller responsibilities include: Providing comprehensive, prompt, and efficient customer transactions. Receiving checks and cash for deposits to accounts, verifying amounts, examining checks for proper endorsement, and entering deposits into computer records. Assisting in the bank-by-mail function, where available. Issuing traveler’s checks, money orders, and U.S. Savings Bonds. Balancing cash drawer at the end of the shift and comparing totaled amount to computer generated proof sheet. Reporting any discrepancies to the supervisor as necessary. Ensuring that the teller station is properly stocked with forms, supplies, etc. Cashing checks from a variety of accounts upon proper verification. Cross-selling financial institution services such as safe deposit boxes, traveler’s checks, etc. Receiving mortgage, consumer loan, and other payments, and ensuring the payments match balances due. Entering payment into the computer. Reporting malfunctions of teller terminals and other equipment used at the teller station to supervise. Performing other duties when assigned. Who Are You?
