Contract | Rotating Shifts | 8 and 12-hour shifts (0630–1500 or 0630–1900) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Scrub and assist across a high-volume, multi-specialty OR environment including General, GYN, GU/Cysto, Ortho, Neuro, Plastics, Eye, ENT, Thoracic, and Endoscopy cases
• Support complex procedures such as craniotomies, ORIFs, ventriculostomies, IM nails, and liver/spleen resections
• Assist with robotic-assisted surgery using the da Vinci Robot system, as well as advanced technology including Stealth navigation, O-arm, and holmium lasers
• Participate in weeknight call coverage (approximately one 4-hour call shift per week following a regular shift) and weekend call rotation (approximately every 5 weeks, Friday evening through Sunday evening)
• Adhere to facility infection control policies, including prohibition of artificial nails in all patient care areas
• Remain within the OR department — no floating to outside units required

Required Qualifications

• BLS certification required
• Demonstrated experience across multiple surgical specialties including Ortho, Neuro, GYN, Eyes, ENT, and Robotics
• Must have Neuro and Ortho surgical experience, as these represent a significant volume of cases
• Must have robotics surgical experience
• Must live more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
• Candidates may not hold concurrent full-time, part-time, or PRN employment with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and/or Dignity Health

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential preferred but not required
• Experience with advanced surgical navigation and imaging equipment (Stealth, O-arm)
• Familiarity with pediatric surgical cases in emergency settings
