About the Role
The Company is seeking an Executive Director for its North Carolina region. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the launch and oversight of the region, including establishing partnerships with higher education institutions. This role is pivotal in the company's mission to serve a large number of college students, particularly those from first-generation and low-income backgrounds. The Executive Director will be tasked with implementing a multi-year strategic plan, ensuring strong program execution, and building a regional advisory board to maximize the region's impact. A key focus will be on stakeholder management, raising brand awareness, and leading fundraising efforts to secure the financial sustainability of the region. Applicants for the Executive Director position should have a BS/BA and a minimum of 7-10 years of leadership experience, with a proven track record of achieving successful outcomes in an inclusive and equitable team culture. The role requires a strong commitment to the experiences of the target student population and a motivation to fundraise. The ideal candidate will have experience in non-profit, higher education, economic or workforce development, or a chamber of commerce, and be proficient in various digital tools. They must demonstrate excellent communication, relationship-building, and management skills, and be able to make data-informed decisions. The position demands a high level of personal responsibility, professional maturity, and a commitment to the values and mission of the organization.
