Job Title

Registered Nurse – Progressive Care Unit (PCU) / Cardiac Stepdown

Location

Zanesville, OH

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | 36 Hours per Week | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a cardiac stepdown/PCU unit during night shift hours
• Care for cardiac stepdown patients including heart cath recovery, cardiac drip management, and post-op open-heart patients
• Work every third weekend and cover one holiday per contract period, subject to change based on census and staffing
• Float to other units as needed during low census or staffing coverage situations
• Provide care to ventilated patients on a rare, as-needed basis based on patient needs and staffing requirements

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure
• Minimum of 3 years of cardiac stepdown experience, including heart cath recovery, cardiac drips, and post-op open-heart patients
• Hands-on experience with open-heart patient care
• Proficiency with Epic EMR
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Comfort providing care to ventilated patients when required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior travel nursing experience in a cardiac stepdown or PCU setting
• Experience managing a mixed cardiac and medical-surgical stepdown patient population
