Manager, Standardized Patient Program

Job Title Manager, Standardized Patient Program Department Medicine | Education Clinical Skills Education and Assessment Center Location Prior Hall (0302) Position Type Regular Schedule 40 hours per week. Work hours typically 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Monday – Friday, but may vary for early morning, evening and weekend events. Responsibilities Provide comprehensive leadership supervision and accountability for the Standardized Patient (SP) Program within the CSEAC. Serve as program leader and people manager, ensuring alignment with College of Medicine and institutional priorities. Provide direction and information regarding the SP program to all faculty, learners, and staff. Provide support for general or specialized areas for learners across levels (undergraduate, graduate, post‑graduate, professional and independently practicing providers) and ensure support throughout the educational cycle from entry to graduation and into professional practice. Act as subject matter expert and lead all aspects of the SP program, including educational functions and coordination of SP‑related activities such as recruitment, onboarding, training and coaching of SPs. Coordinate with faculty and program leadership to schedule and develop SP case content to meet curricular needs. Oversee student employees and ensure compliance with organizational policies and accreditation standards of best practice. Hold direct accountability for staff performance, resource deployment and program outcomes. Education and Experience Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; advanced degree desirable. 4 years of relevant experience required; 4‑8 years preferred. Progressive experience with increasing responsibility in academic program operations, staff supervision, budget management and compliance oversight. Additional Information Work hours are typically 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Monday – Friday, but can vary to include some early morning, evening and weekend events as needed.
