Key Responsibilities

• Perform detailed assessments of pediatric patients by utilizing age-appropriate testing methods and observational techniques to determine their physical capabilities and challenges.
• Craft individualized treatment plans that include specific therapeutic exercises aimed at improving motor skills, strength, balance, coordination, and flexibility based on the child's evaluation results.
• Engage in collaborative discussions with families, educators, caregivers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for each patient.
• Educate families about exercises, stretches, and activities that can be performed at home, reinforcing therapy between sessions and fostering parental involvement in the child's progress.
• Document patient progress meticulously and adjust treatment plans as needed to ensure the best outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with children suffering from a variety of conditions, including but not limited to musculoskeletal injuries, neurological conditions, and developmental disorders. Your expertise will be vital in helping these children achieve essential developmental milestones and improve their overall health and quality of life. Understanding the specific characteristics of each age group, from infants to teenagers, and tailoring your approach accordingly is essential for effective therapy.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Current licensure to practice as a Physical Therapist in the state of Nevada.
• Genuine passion for working with children and a commitment to their growth and development.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to convey complex information clearly to families and caregivers.
• A collaborative spirit and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Current CPR/First Aid certification is required.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits
