Gotham Enterprises Ltd is actively seeking a dedicated and skilled Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our esteemed rehabilitation clinic located in Elko, Nevada. This full-time position will enable you to work onsite, directly impacting the recovery and quality of life for our patients. Your role will involve assisting licensed Physical Therapists in delivering exceptional patient care and executing individualized therapeutic treatment plans aimed at achieving recovery goals.

Work Environment

The successful candidate will work in a vibrant hospital setting alongside a multidisciplinary team, including Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, and Speech-Language Pathologists. The clinic operates Monday to Friday, from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, with occasional flexibility to accommodate patient needs. Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist Assistant at our clinic, your responsibilities will include:

• Assisting licensed Physical Therapists in the implementation of personalized treatment plans tailored to improve patients' mobility, strength, and functionality.
• Guiding patients through therapeutic exercises, stretches, and activities that aid in physical well-being and pain alleviation.
• Educating patients on proper body mechanics and exercise techniques, as well as developing home exercise programs to reinforce their recovery outside the clinic.
• Administering therapeutic modalities such as electrical stimulation, ultrasound, and heat/cold therapy, ensuring adherence to safety and procedural guidelines.
• Monitoring and documenting patient progress meticulously, including tracking gains in range of motion, strength, and overall functional improvements.
• Organizing treatment areas and ensuring that equipment and supplies are readily available for therapy sessions.
• Collaborating with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate comprehensive care that optimizes patient outcomes.
• Providing emotional support to patients during their rehabilitation, nurturing a positive and encouraging atmosphere.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work with a diverse patient population, including individuals recovering from surgeries, injuries, or chronic conditions. This role requires the ability to adapt to various patient needs and treatment conditions, ensuring tailored approaches that align with each patient's rehabilitation goals.

Qualifications

To succeed in this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications:

• An Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• A valid state license or certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
• A solid foundation in anatomy, physiology, and therapeutic interventions relevant to Physical Therapy.
• Proficiency in executing therapeutic exercises and modalities under a Physical Therapist's guidance.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to facilitate rapport with patients and collaborate effectively within the healthcare team.
• A compassionate, patient-centered approach to care, showcasing a genuine desire to assist patients in achieving their rehabilitation objectives.
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time management skills.
• A commitment to ongoing professional development, keeping abreast of advances in the field of physical therapy.

Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, the following experiences will be considered advantageous:

• Previous experience working in a rehabilitation setting or with specific patient demographics (e.g., pediatrics, geriatrics).
• Familiarity with electronic medical record systems and practice management software.

Compensation and Benefits
