Role Description We are seeking a licensed clinician to join our growing practice. Candidates may choose between a full‑time W‑2 position with benefits or a contract (1099) arrangement with flexible scheduling. This is a hybrid position based in East Providence, RI, with a mix of in‑clinic and work‑from‑home responsibilities. The counselor will provide individual, family, couples, and group therapy to children and adolescents, using evidence‑based approaches to address a range of emotional, behavioral, and relational concerns. Day‑to‑day work includes completing intake assessments, developing individualized treatment plans, documenting progress notes, and coordinating services with schools, medical providers, and community agencies. The counselor will engage in regular case consultation, participate in clinic meetings, and contribute to ongoing improvement of clinical processes and client experience. The role also involves maintaining up‑to‑date licensure, staying current with best practices, and using electronic health records in compliance with privacy and documentation standards. Qualifications LICSW/LMHC/PsyD/PhD Demonstrated expertise in mental health and psychology, with experience working across child, adolescent, adult, couple, and family systems. Strong skills in Treatment Planning, with the ability to create, monitor, and adjust individualized, goal‑oriented plans. Experience in Relationship Counseling and working with family dynamics, parenting concerns, and interpersonal challenges. Proficiency in Case Management, including referrals, care coordination, and collaboration with schools and community providers. Current independent or associate clinical license (e.g., LMHC, LMFT, LICSW, PsyD/PhD or equivalent in RI) or eligibility for licensure within a defined timeframe. Master’s degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a closely related mental health field from an accredited institution. Strong documentation skills and comfort using electronic health record systems while maintaining confidentiality and compliance with regulations. Effective communication, cultural humility, and trauma‑informed practice when working with clients and interdisciplinary teams. Ability to manage a consistent caseload, prioritize tasks, and maintain professional boundaries in a hybrid work environment. Experience with evidence‑based modalities (e.g., CBT, DBT, play therapy, family systems approaches) is highly beneficial.
