About the Position

Family Planning Services of Lorain County is seeking a friendly, reliable, and compassionate Bilingual Medical Receptionist / Clinical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate is fluent in English and Spanish, communicates clearly, stays organized, and enjoys helping patients in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Key Responsibilities

·      Greet and check in patients in a warm, friendly, and professional manner.

·      Answer phones, schedule appointments, and respond to patient inquiries.

·      Verify patient demographic and insurance information.

·      Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.

·      Assist clinical staff with basic clinical and administrative tasks.

·      Compile chart audit reports and process records requests in accordance with HIPAA privacy requirements.

·      Communicate effectively and respectfully with English- and Spanish-speaking patients.

·      Maintain patient confidentiality and follow office policies and procedures.

·      Provide excellent customer service and support to patients and families.

·      Scan records into the electronic medical record (EMR) system.

·      Balance the end-of-day cash drawer and assist with inventory management.

·      Manage multiple priorities and work independently when needed.

Required Qualifications

·      Fluency in English and Spanish.

·      Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

·      Professional, dependable, and organized work habits.

·      Ability to multitask effectively in a busy healthcare setting.

·      Comfort using electronic medical records and general computer systems.

·      A compassionate, patient, and respectful approach to working with patients.

Preferred Qualifications

·      Previous medical office, reception, or clinical support experience.
