Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) - Locum Tenens

Bellingham, WA

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Board Certified Nurse Midwife for a long-term locum tenens assignment in beautiful Bellingham, WA. This is an excellent opportunity to support a community-focused inpatient unit during a gap in coverage, offering a consistent schedule in a high-quality clinical environment.

Position Overview

Role: Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM)
Location: Bellingham, WA (Inpatient Setting)
Duration: Approximately 9 months (Starting late May 2026)
Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, 3 times per week.
- Note: Blocked scheduling is available for better work-life balance.
Pay Rate: $110.00 per hour

Clinical Responsibilities

You will be managing an inpatient census within a facility featuring 10 labor beds and 14 postpartum beds. With an average delivery rate of 1–2 per 24-hour cycle, you will have the time to provide focused, high-quality patient care.

Scope: Full-scope midwifery care including rounding, admissions, and triaging patients in L&D.
Procedures: * Vaginal deliveries and C-section assists.
- Management of laboring patients and inductions.
- FSE and IUPC placement.
- Repair of Grade 1 and Grade 2 perineal lacerations.
EMR: EPIC

Requirements

To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

Certification: Board Certified Nurse Midwife (AMCB).
Licensure: Active Washington State License and WA DEA must be present at the time of submission.
Life Support: Current BLS (AHA or ARC).
Experience: Competency in all listed procedures and comfort with night-shift inpatient management.

Timeline

Credentialing: 30–60 days.
Start Date: Late May 2026.
