DMS Systems Engineer

Salary: $100,000 - 145,000 per year Requirements:

• We require a bachelors degree with at least 4 years of relevant experience, or a graduate degree with at least 2 years of related experience; alternatively, 8 years of comparable experience may be accepted in place of a degree.
• We are looking for candidates with proven experience in DMSMS management, obsolescence mitigation, systems engineering, or project management.
• We value strong knowledge of DMSMS principles, including industry guidance such as SAE-ARP-6272 and government standard SD-22.
• We prefer experience with component selection, qualification, and substitution processes.
• We seek proficiency with DMSMS tools, databases, and software such as IHS and Silicon Expert.
• We need excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across diverse audiences and cross-functional teams.
• We look for strong organizational and project management abilities, including prioritizing work, managing several projects at once, and meeting deadlines.
• We prefer a proactive mindset with the ability to anticipate risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• We need the ability to communicate effectively in person and electronically, contribute independently, and collaborate well within a team.
• A bachelors degree in electrical engineering is preferred.
• Qualified candidates must have, or be able to obtain and maintain, a DoD security clearance.
• Candidates must be able to travel occasionally.

• We contribute to the design and development of complex systems in line with specifications and requirements.
• We work in a multi-disciplinary engineering environment while managing time and resources across multiple concurrent programs.
• We prepare and present technical information during customer reviews.
• We plan and carry out system integration and testing to verify performance and functionality.
• We analyze customer requirements and translate them into detailed system specifications and design documentation.
• We create and maintain thorough technical records, including architectures, design specs, and test plans.
• We identify, investigate, and resolve technical issues throughout the development cycle.
• We collaborate closely with software, hardware, and mechanical engineering teams to achieve project objectives.
• We ensure system designs and implementations comply with applicable industry standards and regulatory obligations.
• We help improve systems engineering processes and tools to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
• We provide technical support to customers and address concerns to support satisfaction with system performance.
• We assist with project planning, resource allocation, and milestone tracking to help deliver objectives on schedule.
