Main Hold Area Associate

Job Title

Purpose of Job:

This position reports to the Production Verification Group Leader and Quality Manager and is responsible for sorting and reworking parts.

Minimum level of education / training required/certificates/licenses:

This position requires a General Educational Diploma (GED) or High School Equivalency (HSE) diploma. Forklift license if required.

Minimum experience required:

No experience is required.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Ability to precisely grasp sorting techniques.
• Specifically use simplified gages (flush pins, Go/NoGo, etc) for sorting.
• Accurately completes paperwork at the end of each sort and enter results in Plex.
• Capability to effectively look Verification sort Standard Work Instructions (SWI) up in Plex.
• Perform sorting task with speed and accuracy.
• Ability to competently scrap parts in Plex and reprint new label.
• Accurately splits and merges labels and reprint new label.
• One Main Hold Associate needs to be licensed and completely able to use a forklift to move parts in and out of main hold area, keep main hold organized, and moving parts to group sort areas.
• Based on company needs a flexible work schedule and/or overtime is needed.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This position does not supervise others.

Adhere to 5S: Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain.

Environmental: Employee is responsible for complying and supporting any environmental policies and programs put in place by Batesville Tool and Die, Inc. (BTD). Employee may not bring any environmentally hazardous substances or compounds into BTD and is always conscious of the impact on the environment. Support and adhere to Technical Specification (TS) and International Organization for Standardization (ISO) activities and procedures.

Other: Perform any other duties as assigned with enthusiasm and without complaint.

The employee is frequently required to sit, stand and use hand and fingers to handle or touch parts. The employee occasionally is required to reach above shoulders, stoop, kneel, bend. The employee will also be required to occasionally lift up to 40 pounds.

Environmental Conditions:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to hot and humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, and loud noises.

Occasional domestic travel may be required for this position.
