We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Medical Referral Coordinator to join our team and help facilitate smooth and efficient referrals from specialists and external services.Position Summary:The Medical Referral Coordinator plays a vital role in patient care by managing the referral process from start to finish. This includes verifying insurance, obtaining authorizations, scheduling appointments, and ensuring clear communication between providers, patients, and specialists.Key Responsibilities:Coordinate and process all incoming medical referrals from providers, diagnostic services, and facilities.Verify insurance coverage and obtain prior authorizations as needed.Schedule appointments and follow up with patients regarding referral status.Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the electronic health record (EHR) system.Communicate effectively with physicians, clinical staff, patients, and external offices on the status of the referred patient. This includes sending “Thank You” letters to referring providers.Ensure referrals are completed in a timely manner and meet compliance standards.Address patient questions and concerns with professionalism and empathy.Sending our Physician’s consultation notes to the referring providers.QualificationsQualifications:Able to pass a background checkHS Diploma or EquivalentPreferred:Knowledge of medical terminologyExperience with Electronic Medical Record (EHR) systems and Microsoft office applicationsIn return for your commitment and hard work, we are willing to offer:$16-$18hr DOEFor Full time Employees after 90 days:Medical, Dental & Vision through CIGNAMedical Plan 100% employer paid for EmployeesDisability and life insurance options available5 days PTOAfter 1 Year:10 days PTO401k with company Match #J-18808-Ljbffr EMERALD IV THERAPY LLC
