Bldng & Plant Maint Tech - RES

Job Title

Assists the Lead & Plant Engineers in the Operation, Maintenance and repair of building systems, including: HVAC, Boilers, Chillers, Pure Water, Domestic water, Cooling towers, Vacuum pumps, Compressors, and Electrical. Conducts building wide repairs to building fixtures, machinery, and systems. Will require on call hours. Operates, maintains and repairs boilers within limits of Seattle Boiler Fireman Grade 4 license. Also assists with furniture/equipment moving and relocation.

Required Education and Experience High school diploma or equivalent experience. Three (3) years experience in building / industrial maintenance, including troubleshooting and repairing of mechanical systems. Per the driver's license requirement noted below, must have a driving record acceptable to Risk Management.

Required Credentials City of Seattle 3rd grade Steam Engineer license, or obtain Grade 4 Boiler Fireman within 1 year, and obtain Grade 3 Steam Engineer within 2.5 years. Class A/B Operators UST Certification for Underground Storage tank, or obtain within 18-Months. Current Washington State driver's license.

Preferred Two (2) years trade school in Building/Industrial Maintenance. Five (5) years experience in building/industrial maintenance, including troubleshooting and repairing of mechanical systems.

Compensation Range

$35.98 - $65.46 per hour

Salary Information

This compensation range was calculated based on full-time employment (2080 hours worked per calendar year). Offers are determined by multiple factors including equity, skills, experience, and expertise, and may vary within the range provided.
