Investment Banking - Assistant Analyst & Associate Manager - Vice President

Job Summary Job Summary: As the Analyst & Associate (A&A) Assistant Manager, you will report to the GIB A&A Leader and work closely with Early Career Managers (ECMs) in Investment Banking (IB) Coverage to ensure the effective management, development, and well-being of A&A staff. You will help drive initiatives to manage workload, streamline staffing processes, and enhance the overall employee experience, supporting the operational and strategic needs of the A&A population and ensuring alignment with business goals and compliance with work‑life policies. Key Responsibilities Partner with ECMs and staffers to support day‑to‑day management of A&A, assisting with workload tracking and resource allocation. Leverage reporting tools to monitor A&A hours and flag potential issues for Early Career Managers, supporting well‑being efforts. Assist in organizing year‑end A&A evaluation, gathering performance feedback and preparing materials for evaluation round tables and discussion. Ensure smooth logistics across hiring initiatives, from recruitment to onboarding, and offboarding. Operate as a knowledge center and liaison across employee assistance topics, including immigration support, benefits, and other ad‑hoc employee matters. Support HR process adherence and issue resolution by coordinating disciplinary matters with HR and Compliance. Organize A&A team meetings, banker teach‑ins, and other topics that maximize team cohesiveness and efficiency. Provide general administrative and operational support, proactively identifying opportunities to streamline workflows. Qualifications Proven experience in project management within investment banking or a related financial services environment. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and provide actionable insights. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence senior leadership and cross‑functional teams. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver results in a fast‑paced environment. Proficiency in using technology solutions to drive efficiency and innovation. A proactive and strategic mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and problem‑solving.
