As a Server, you're the guest's connection to the diner. Which means you're an advisor. A mind-reader. A friendly ear. And sometimes, a compassionate conversationalist.

Reporting to the General Manager and Restaurant Manager, the Server greets, seats and services guests in a friendly and courteous manner, takes and delivers orders, suggestively sells, receives payment and assists other service personnel as needed to provide total guest satisfaction. Responds to and addresses guests concerns in a timely and courteous manner.

Key business areas include demonstrating a sense of urgency when serving guests, greeting guests immediately upon arrival, assisting with seating, suggestively selling, accurately entering orders, preparing beverage orders, checking prepared orders, delivering food and beverage orders timely, attending to guests during the entire dining experience, demonstrating knowledge of station and floor breakdowns, possessing strong product and menu knowledge, using proper telephone etiquette, pre-bussing tables, addressing complaints and requests promptly, demonstrating safe cash handling procedures, willingly assisting others, maintaining cleanliness and organization, completing all required side-work, providing prompt and courteous service, adhering to Denny's Brand Standards and internal policies.

Essential functions include ability to lift and carry supplies and equipment up to 30 lbs, ability to raise a tray weighing up to 25 lbs to shoulder height, ability to bend, stoop, reach, wipe, lift, and grab, sufficient mobility to move and operate in work area, ability to stand and walk throughout a 4 to 8 hour shift, ability to hear well in a loud environment, meeting any state, county or municipal regulation pertaining to health risk concerns about food handling, ability to observe and differentiate between monetary denominations, ability to serve all Denny's menu products, ability to operate point of sale system, ability to work around potentially hazardous chemicals.

Position qualifications include ability to communicate effectively in English both orally and in writing, ability to pass all required tests and training requirements, ability to work in a team environment, meeting Denny's uniform and grooming standards, ability to work a flexible schedule, possessing excellent guest service skills, possessing basic math skills, being dependable and able to learn basic tasks and follow instructions, placing a value on diversity and showing respect for others.

Pay rate min $19.97 hourly up to $25.00 hourly plus tips based on attendance, performance & sales. This is a Part-Time position and does not include benefits.
