Business Development Manager

We are currently managing a fantastic opportunity to make a tangible, attributable and rewarding difference to a highly successful British exporter.
This is a newly created business development position within an internationally focused manufacturer of top-quality, market leading trailers.
Our client proudly manufactures their product range in the UK and sells to export customers via a network of international distributors.
- This new position has been created to meet the significant demand for the products in Australia, New Zealand, Japan and elsewhere in the Far East. This region is going to experience significant growth area in the coming years.
- Increasing demand for the company’s products has led to the decision to create this new position which will focus on proactive business development, identifying and approaching desired dealerships in the region.
- The Business Development Manager for Australia, New Zealand and the Far East will be based in and around either Sydney or Brisbane.
- The main focus for the role will be developing business in New South Wales, Queensland, Victoria, and South Australia.

Key Skills/Experience Required
- Previous experience in business development in a regional/national role is required for this position.
- Our client is a firm believer in the transferable skill set possessed by successful sales professionals so a background in trailers is not required.
- That said, a background in automotive, capital equipment, engineered products of any kind is expected.
- The role will require regular travel throughout eastern Australia, New Zealand and, in time, the Far East.
- A passion for business development is of course required.
Salary/Benefits Information
- Flexible: Our client will create a package designed to attract their preferred candidate.
- Package: $110,000 – 150,000 Australian dollars plus car, bonus and benefits.
