DevOps Specialist

Genesis10 is currently seeking a DevOps Specialist for a contract position with a Global Financial Institution located in Charlotte, NC. This is a 12 month contract opportunity.

This role involves providing 3rd Level Support for web applications, focusing on server builds, environment management, and release deployments. The position requires a hands-on professional responsible for installation, testing, tuning, upgrading, and troubleshooting server problems to ensure system stability and performance.

Responsibilities:

• Perform server full builds, including installing and configuring all requirements such as drivers, vendor software, and custom code
• Manage test environments by addressing issues, documenting fixes, and developing plans to prevent future problems
• Execute release deployments of homegrown and vendor software in production environments according to documented steps
• Provide 3rd Level Support, including incident troubleshooting, analysis, and resolution for web applications
• Conduct day-to-day administration, including installation, testing, tuning, upgrading, and applying patches

Requirements:

• 5 years of experience installing and configuring Microsoft SharePoint server 2016 and above
• 8 years of experience administering SharePoint applications, services, permissions, and features
• Experience with DevOps practices, tools, and processes to automate and streamline the software development lifecycle
• 8 years of experience troubleshooting and resolving SharePoint service applications like Search and user profiles
• 8 years of experience with Microsoft Workflow Manager and Microsoft Office Online products
• Experience patching and maintaining SharePoint servers
• Experience with backup and restore of SharePoint service applications
• Experience deploying custom solutions and features to SharePoint farms
• 8 years of experience in installing, configuring, and administrating IIS

Desired skills:

• PowerShell scripting experience or knowledge
• Experience with Windows and third-party schedulers like Autosys
• Hands-on experience with F5 devices like Global Traffic Manager and Local Traffic Manager

Pay range: $58.31 - $66.31 per hour
