Fabrication Lead

Job Description Job Description This is a 2nd shift opportunity. Under the direction of the Shift Supervisor, the Fabrication lead will manage work priorities, assign employees to jobs, and enforce process and policy. This will lead several fabrication cells including Laser/turrets, Inserting, Shakeout, Brake Press, and Welding. - Ensure each team is properly staffed to meet daily work order priorities and output goals - Coordinate resources to and from fabrication - Coach individual employee productivity and quality metrics - Act as a technical resource to fabrication team members to address and resolve inquires and problems and provide feedback to supervisors on recurring/major performance issues. - Coordinate new hire training and existing employee cross training efforts - Manage daily and weekly direct labor work hours to meet output requirements - Audit and enforce quality processes - Develop and grow team members - Enforce MPE policies and sustain improvements - Participate and at times lead continuous improvement initiatives - Operation of equipment for production including Press Brake, Laser/Turrets, PEM Inserting, and/or Welding. - High school diploma or equivalent; - Technical degree preferred - Blueprint reading and interpretation skills - Two plus years in metal fabrication Company Description As one of the top local staffing agencies in Southeastern Wisconsin and Northeastern Illinois, Halpin Staffing Services helps companies find great people and job seekers find great jobs.
