Position Summary

The Registered Nurse (RN) will provide direct patient care in a Stepdown/DOU (Definitive Observation Unit) setting for patients requiring close monitoring and intermediate-level care between ICU and Med-Surg.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care
• Monitor patients with cardiac, respiratory, or post-ICU conditions
• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders
• Interpret telemetry rhythms and respond appropriately
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams
• Maintain accurate charting and documentation

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of recent Stepdown/DOU experience
• Active California RN License (license in hand)
• Current BLS Certification
• Current ACLS Certification
• Ability to work night shifts
• Strong telemetry and critical care monitoring experience
