Job Summary

We are seeking a versatile and reliable Maintenance Technician to assist with upkeep of our Dubuque property portfolio, which consists primarily of rental apartment units and commercial properties. This role requires a blend of customer service and a professional demeanor. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver skilled in apartment turnover, general building preventative maintenance, and everyday upkeep and repairs.

Core Responsibilities

Apartment Turnovers: Remediate units between tenants, including drywall patching, painting, lock replacement, and blind installation.
Residential & Commercial Repairs: Troubleshoot and execute minor plumbing, HVAC and electrical repairs including minor leaks, clogged drains, light fixture and outlet installation, bulb and ballast replacement
Appliance Maintenance: Install, test, and perform basic repairs on residential appliances (refrigerators, stoves, dishwashers, washers/dryers).
General Building Upkeep: Conduct routine inspections and maintain common areas, perform preventative maintenance, minor landscaping upkeep, and snow removal
On-Call Rotation: Participate in a rotating emergency on-call schedule for urgent after-hours resident maintenance requests.

Required Qualifications

Experience: Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in property maintenance, apartment turns, or commercial facilities upkeep.
Tools: Possession of standard hand and power tools necessary for daily repair tasks.
Licensing: Valid driver's license with a clean driving record and reliable transport to travel between local property sites.
Physical Ability: Ability to lift up to 75 lbs, climb ladders, and work comfortably in tight spaces.
