Job-ID: 97625Category: Project and Program ManagementLocation: Hawthorne, NY, United StatesPosted: 2026-10-15WSP is currently initiating a search forTransportation Management Center Operations Manager!Position SummaryThe Operations Manager is responsible for the overall management and day-to-day operations of the Hudson Valley Transportation Management Center (HVTMC). This position oversees operations staff and works closely with the NYSDOT TMC Director and regional transportation, emergency response, and partner agencies to ensure effective 24/7/365 TMC operations. The position reports directly to the NYSDOT TMC Director.Key ResponsibilitiesManage and oversee daily TMC operations and operations staff.Supervise, schedule, train, and evaluate TMC staff.Ensure appropriate staffing and operational coverage for 24/7/365 operations.Maintain quality assurance of TMC operations and staff performance.Monitor operational performance, identify opportunities for improvement, and report them to NYSDOT.Develop, review, and update operational procedures, protocols, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and other operational support materials.Coordinate with NYSDOT, regional transportation agencies, public safety agencies (police, fire, and emergency medical services), and other regional operational partners.Support contract administration, operational reporting, and training activities.Respond to significant operational or staffing issues as required.Minimum QualificationsBachelor’s degree in a relevant field with a minimum of three (3) years of qualifying experience; OR a minimum of five (5) years of relevant full-time experience.Minimum of five (5) years of management experience on projects with an annual value of at least $500,000.Experience in TMC, traffic, transportation, dispatch, military, public safety, or 911 operations.Experience supervising and training a minimum of fifteen (15) employees.Strong written, verbal, organizational, and interpersonal skills.Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, spreadsheets, and databases.Ability to respond to operational issues in a 24/7/365 environment.Valid driver’s license.Preferred QualificationsTMC/Traffic Operations Center management experience.Experience managing 24/7/365 operations.Experience with performance measures, data analysis, and operational reporting.Strong leadership and client relationship skills.Experience working with public safety agencies, and transportation service providers.WSP Benefits: WSP provides a comprehensive suite of benefits focused on providing health and financial stability throughout the employee’s career. Compensation:Expected Salary : $100,000 - $150,000WSP USA is providing the compensation range that the company in good faith believes it might pay and offer for this position, based on the successful applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities in addition to internal equity and specific geographic location.
