About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Telemetry Duration: 26 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 6 months of neuro experience License: Valid state license Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: Proficiency in NIH scale and neurology patient care Description: We are seeking a Registered Nurse for our telemetry specialty. Candidates must have at least 6 months of neuro experience. The position involves night shifts, working three 12-hour shifts per week. Every other weekend is required. The nurse will float between units as needed. Expected patient ratios are 1:5. Nurses with experience in neurology diagnoses are preferred. Candidates must be proficient in managing BiPAP/CPAP and chest tubes. Experience with craniotomy, cerebrovascular accidents, and dysrhythmias is necessary. Candidates should have knowledge in pre/post neurosurgery, procedural sedation, and telemetry. This unit is designated for neurological care and is a recognized stroke unit. Floating between nearby facilities may be required. Candidates will be expected to work three of the five major holidays. All references will need to cover a year of experience within the last three years. Flexibility in scheduling is important for this role.
