Construction Project Controller

Responsibilities In coordination with the Construction Management project team, lead the development, preparation, and maintenance of project cost estimation, construction cost accounting, cost control, financial risk management, and contingency determination and management, incorporating current best practices used in construction and transportation infrastructure industries. Ensure integration of cost practices and methods; support the development of cost management policies, procedures, and performance metrics. Coordinate input from Contract Management Specialists and Construction Managers on areas impacting project costs and budget. Participate in risk evaluation sessions or preconstruction reviews for major capital construction projects/programs in coordination with risk management and construction management teams. Manage activities with input from relevant parties and obtain approval from the Project Director on areas impacting development and construction projects. Work with the VP Capital Projects to prepare monthly project and construction management reports and coordinate the processing of payments to contractors and vendors. Required and Preferred Experience Bachelor’s degree in accounting required; CPA designation preferred. 3–5 years of relevant experience in Infrastructure, Transportation, or Real Estate Construction preferred. Demonstrated project cost control skills. Experience with Aconex, NetSuite, SAGE/Timberline, Procore, PMWeb, and MSPS. Experience with project controls related to cost, scheduling, and estimating at a project level. Extremely detail-oriented with knowledge of document management processes. Employment details Location: Las Vegas, NV Salary: $115,000 – $155,000, plus benefits. Salary varies by experience, education, budget, project, and location.
