Surgery on the GO is actively seeking a dedicated and professional Physician Assistant (PA) to join our dynamic team in a full-time capacity. In this role, you will work directly with our skilled general surgeons in managing patient care across various stages, including pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative settings. This position is pivotal in enhancing the efficiency of our surgical practice and ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care.

Work Environment

As a Physician Assistant at our surgical center, you will be working onsite in a state-of-the-art facility. Our work hours are Monday to Friday, from 8 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a balanced work-life schedule. The surgical center is equipped with advanced medical technology, and you will collaborate closely with surgeons, nurses, and other allied health professionals in the management of diverse surgical cases.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with supervising physicians to deliver comprehensive care to patients within the surgical setting.
• Conduct detailed patient assessments, including history-taking and physical examinations to formulate accurate diagnoses and treatment plans.
• Perform daily patient rounds in the clinic and hospital, documenting findings and adjusting care plans as necessary.
• Facilitate the pre-operative process by preparing patients for surgery, including providing education on procedures and answering questions.
• Assist in the operating room as needed, providing first assist capabilities during laparoscopic and robotic procedures.
• Manage post-operative care by assessing recovery, addressing complications, and offering appropriate follow-up instructions.
• Engage in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient care strategies that streamline our services and improve outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will be serving a diverse patient population, encompassing individuals of all ages requiring surgical interventions. Our focus spans various surgical procedures, and you will contribute to ensuring every patient receives personalized care tailored to their specific needs and health conditions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Physician Assistant Studies.
• Board certification as a Physician Assistant.
• Current state licensure to practice as a Physician Assistant.
• Active DEA License.
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association.
• Completion of Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) within 12 months of hire.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of two (2) years of advanced practice experience in surgery or hospital medicine, with a preference for OR/first assist experience, particularly in laparoscopic and robotic surgeries.
• Familiarity with surgical protocols and workflows that enhance patient safety and operational efficiency.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for this full-time position ranges from USD 140,000 to 180,000, commensurate with experience. Alongside a competitive salary, this position offers a comprehensive benefits package that includes paid licensing and certification opportunities, as well as coverage for DEA expenses.
