About the Role 

The HVAC Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the operation, maintenance, installation, troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repair of residential, commercial, and industrial HVAC and plumbing systems. This position provides technical leadership and supervision to qualified HVAC technicians and mechanics, ensuring work is performed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with applicable contract requirements, industry standards, and manufacturer specifications.

The HVAC Supervisor must possess extensive technical knowledge of HVAC systems, direct digital controls (DDC), steam boilers, oil combustion, and plumbing systems, with demonstrated experience supervising personnel responsible for facility operations and maintenance.

What You'll Be Doing

• Lead and oversee daily HVAC and plumbing operations, maintenance, installation, repair, troubleshooting, and diagnostics in support of contract requirements.
• Supervise and provide technical guidance to qualified HVAC technicians and mechanics.
• Oversee residential, commercial, and industrial HVAC systems, including DDC controls, steam boilers, oil combustion, and plumbing systems.
• Plan staffing, maintenance schedules, work assignments, and operational priorities to ensure reliable system performance.
• Monitor HVAC system performance, preventive maintenance, inspections, and corrective repairs; identify deficiencies and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with applicable DoD, Navy, installation, safety, environmental, regulatory, and Company requirements.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, inspection reports, equipment documentation, and required contract deliverables.
• Ensure assigned HVAC technicians meet applicable journeyman qualifications, experience requirements, and manufacturer-specific training requirements.
• Coordinate with Program Management, Government representatives, maintenance teams, and other stakeholders to resolve operational issues.
• Identify opportunities to improve HVAC efficiency, equipment reliability, safety, and overall service delivery.
• Adhere to Company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

What We're Looking For

• Demonstrated technical knowledge and experience with residential, commercial, and industrial HVAC systems, DDC controls, steam boilers, oil combustion, and plumbing.
• Experience supervising qualified technicians and mechanics performing HVAC and plumbing operations, maintenance, installation, repair, troubleshooting, and diagnostics.
• Must possess one of the following:
  • Current and valid state or municipal HVAC license with experience and examination requirements comparable to Level III technician certification.
  • Level III Technician Certification from a nationally recognized certifying organization.
  • NATE certification in HVAC Service and Oil Hydronics.
• Must possess a Senior Level Efficiency Analyst NATE Certification.
• Must possess an EPA Section 608 Universal Certification.
• Candidates qualifying through Level III certification must have completed an apprenticeship-level training program and possess a minimum of four (4) years of progressive experience across multiple HVAC system types.
• Demonstrated competency in air conditioning and distribution systems, heat pumps, gas and oil furnaces, light-commercial and commercial refrigeration, and HVAC efficiency analysis.
• Ability to interpret and apply contractual requirements, technical specifications, manufacturer guidance, and applicable safety regulations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with work order systems such as Maximo preferred.
• Experience supporting federal installations or working within the government contracting environment preferred.
• Must be able to maintain the ability to access the government worksite.
• Must possess and maintain a valid state driver's license and a safe driving record, in accordance with company policy, to operate vehicles or equipment as required for the position.

Physical Demands & Work Environment

• This position is primarily performed in an office setting; however, regular site visits and field inspections are required. Must be able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and navigate active work sites when necessary. This may include standing, walking, bending, or climbing for extended periods while wearing personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Must be able to work on-call, alternate, and extended shift schedules when necessary to meet mission requirements, including weekends and holidays.
• Must be available on-site during Government working hours and capable of reporting on-site within one (1) hour after normal working hours.
