Rose Bakery is renowned for its signature fresh, seasonal, and natural foods making it a mainstay at Dover Street Markets around the world. This philosophy has garnered them an international following, two renowned cookbooks by Phaidon and multiple locations in Paris, London, Tokyo and Seoul.
At Rose Bakery, the Line Cook works closely with the Pastry Chef, Sous Chef, and Head Chef to create innovative dishes. This role involves overseeing food preparation and dish presentation, ensuring they meet caf standards, and contributing to the overall customer experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in food preparation process including chopping vegetables, preparing sauces, etc.
- Enforce and adhere to food and safety standards in accordance with local law.
- Assist Head Chef, Sous Chef, and Patry Chef in assembly dishes to be served.
- Clean up after business hours.
- Ensuring that workstations remain clean and sanitary throughout the day and at end of operating hours.
- Maintain proper stocking of necessary ingredients and other cooking tools.
Key Skills:
- A highly motivated individual able converse with all levels both internally and externally.
- Self-starter, able to set the standard by their own professionalism and attitude.
- Must be energetic, self-motivated, self-organized and a team player. Willing to do whatever it takes to get the job done.
- Decisive, structured and organized, with a keen eye for detail.
- Punctual, possesses excellent time management skills.
- Flexible, adapts to the needs of the business.
- Possesses an enthusiasm and a passion for the Rose Bakery philosophy.
Key Requirements:
- Prior cooking experience in roles such as Line Chef or Prep Cook
- Pastry experience preferred
- Ability to communicate strongly and effectively.
- Capable of multi-tasking while maintaining a high attention to detail.
- Flexible to the needs of the business.
- Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time.
