Systems Analyst / Application Support Database

Summary: The Systems Analyst is a client-facing, business and technical staff position responsible for managing all aspects of production of Company IMS systems for multiple clients as part of Company Managed Services. He/she will help better serve the growing demand for CRDs managed service offerings, including: Remote Application Management, Hosted Application Management, and Software as a Service (SaaS).

Responsibilities:

• Work closely with clients, provide expert level remote management, administration and support for client production of Company IMS solutions, including:
• Client assistance in optimal use of the system
• User administration/privileges
• Parameter configuration changes
• System availability
• Application and database performance tuning
• Daily operational processing monitoring and support
• Company IMS and database software patches
• Company IMS version upgrades
• Assistance with problem support and resolution
• Business Continuity/Disaster Recovery assistance
• Work with CRD colleagues to smoothly transition new clients to production operation
• Collaborate with vendors as partners to deliver a tightly integrated, seamless service to CRD clients
• Participate in the development and on-going refinement, enhancement and continuous process improvement for the services
• Contribute to the investigation, implementation, and operation of 3rd party tools to enhance/improve, automate, and streamline the delivery of the services

Requirements:

• BS in an analytical field of study (IE Computer Science, Engineering, Technology and etc.)
• Experience in managing and supporting mission critical production software applications
• Database software or IT technical experience
• Company IMS or securities trading software experience is preferred
• Hands-on experience with MS SQL Server, Oracle, and/or Sybase database configuration, operations, and basic administration functions
• General knowledge and understanding of servers and networks is preferred
• Proven ability to work in a mission-critical operations and support environment
• Solid customer service skills and technical troubleshooting capability
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written); good interpersonal skills
• Proven ability to partner with various internal departments to deliver superior customer service
• Occasional travel to customer sites for planning and review meetings
• Periodic off-hours support
• A background in portfolio management and trading system applications is preferred
• Any experience with the following is preferred: databases, server operating systems, servers, networks, job scheduling software, system monitoring software, clusters/high availability systems, Disaster Recovery/Business Continuity, FIX
