What Your Role Will Entail

• Performing thorough patient evaluations, ordering essential diagnostic tests, and developing tailored care plans
• Diagnosing and treating acute, episodic, or chronic illnesses alongside physicians or independently (as credentialed)
• Providing education to patients and their families on prevention, wellness, and effective disease management
• Prescribing medications and therapies within the limits of your practice
• Engaging in patient follow-up and chronic care management
• Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless, holistic patient care
• Maintaining detailed and accurate documentation within electronic medical records (EMR)

What You Need for Success

• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
• Completion of a nationally accredited Nurse Practitioner program

Certifications You Should Hold

• Current Nurse Practitioner licensure in the state of Texas
• National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or an equivalent specialty
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or willingness to acquire within 90 days)
