Key Responsibilities:
Clinical Duties:
* Take and record patient vital signs (e.g., blood pressure, temperature, weight, pulse, respiratory rate).
* Prepare patients for examinations, ensuring comfort and safety.
* Assist healthcare providers during examinations and minor procedures.
* Administer injections, immunizations, and prescribed medications as directed.
* Perform routine lab tests (e.g., urine analysis, blood draws) and prepare specimens for laboratory analysis.
* Sterilize and maintain medical equipment.
* Educate patients on healthcare needs, treatments, and prescribed medications.
* Assist with patient follow-up and care coordination as needed.
* Ensure proper documentation of patient information in electronic health records (EHR).
Administrative Duties:
* Schedule patient appointments, ensuring optimal patient flow.
* Answer patient inquiries and provide guidance on treatment procedures or medication instructions.
* Verify and update patient insurance information.
* Process patient billing and ensure accurate coding for insurance claims.
* Maintain patient files and ensure compliance with privacy regulations (HIPAA).
* Manage office supplies, including inventory and reordering as necessary.
* Collaborate with other medical and administrative staff to ensure smooth operations.

Qualifications:
* Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Completion of an accredited medical assistant program is preferred.
* Certification: Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or equivalent) preferred.
* Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a medical office or clinical setting is preferred.
