Licensed Practical Nurse – Nursing

Schedule: Varied 8 hour shifts

Assignment Details: Guaranteed Hours: 40 Contract Weeks: 13

Requirements:

• Graduate of approved Licensed Practical Nurse Program with current licensure
• CPR and ACLS certifications are required
• Visual, auditory, and manual dexterity abilities
• Basic computer skills and ability to learn various computer programs utilized by the facility

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct nursing care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse
• Administer medications and treatments and record them
• Organize time and effort effectively while establishing care priorities
• Report incidents and changes in patient's condition to the Registered Nurse
• Provide patient instruction during hospitalization and upon discharge
• Assist with the orientation of new staff members and students
• Participate in continuing education programs to maintain professional and clinical competence
